Reaseheath Golf Club was founded in 1987. The course had been developing in the years up to this point as a result of the increased requirement for facilities for the practical training of green-keeping and golf course management students.
Since 1987 the club has grown substantially and now has over 450 members. Within the club there is both a Ladies Section and Junior Section. There is a full fixture list of club competitions and the club now plays a range of friendly matches against other clubs as well as playing in the North Staffs and District League. The club is affiliated to the English Golf Union and the Ladies Section to the LGU.
The clubhouse is in the George England Pavilion, named after a former principal of Cheshire College of Agriculture (Reaseheath College's former name), a keen sportsman and the first president of Reaseheath Golf Club. There are limited catering facilities and no bar. However, the meeting room, lined with honours boards, provides a comfortable setting for many golf club functions.
