“I’ve always been passionate about outdoor adventure and my Level 3 Diploma gave me a great start to my career.
“You get a good basic introduction to the industry and the practical skills you learn definitely put you in a good position when you’re looking for a job. To be successful in my industry you have to show you can do the activities as well as talk about them, and the stand-out moments for me were learning winter skills in Scotland and gaining extra coaching qualifications alongside my diploma.
“The classroom sessions teach you independent learning and there’s no doubt that this prepared me for university. I’m just starting out on my full-time career but I’m sure I’ll have many opportunities ahead.”
