Construction Plant

Reaseheath delivers construction plant apprenticeship training for industry leading companies including JCB, A-Plant, Gap Group and Clee Hill Plant.

As a construction plant apprentice you will develop the basic principles you need to learn to become a plant mechanic and work on the engineering team of a plant or plant hire company.

At college you will learn vital work-based skills including maintenance and repair of construction plant and tool hire equipment.

  • Functional Skills or GCSE in English and Maths depending on previous qualifications

How long will it take?

  • 2 years (12 weeks in college per year, delivered in 6 x 2 week block release courses)

What qualifications do I need to start?

  • Preferably 3 GCSEs at grades E or above

You will have the chance to work towards additional industrial qualifications as well as gain a certificate in health and safety.

How much will this course cost?

Apprenticeships are funded through government and employer contributions.

Transport

Our college buses pick up over 1,000 students each day from a wide area. The cost of daily transport is subsidised if travelling on the College bus service. To find out the cost of transport for part-time students and a bus route near you visit the transport pages on our website.

Accommodation

If you live further afield and do not live on a transport route you may be eligible to stay in Reaseheath accommodation for the duration of your block. This is arranged through your employer.
