What skills do I need?

You don’t need any formal skills but a keen interest in business and events is essential! Your GCSE results will determine which level course you come and study. For entry requirements take a look at each course page.

What are my job/career options after this course?

Depending which level course you study career options can vary between getting a job in a commercial organisation that interests you, in a commercial enterprise or in public services, getting a job organising events and shows across the UK and Europe and much more!

Where will I study, what are the facilities like?

Our stunning grounds, cutting edge facilities, and college own rural events attracting up to 10,000 plus visitors, provide the perfect learning environment to develop business and event skills. Most of your lessons will take place in new purpose built classrooms in our food innovation centre.

Will my course cost anything?

Students aged under 19 will not be charged tuition fees. If you are aged over 19 visit the 19+ Further Education Tuition Fees page.

Will I go on any trips or study tours?

The approximate cost of visits during the year will be £70, which you will be expected to bring with you during your induction week. We also offer students the opportunity to attend a study tour such as the Business Live Conference at Disneyland Paris.

What equipment will I need?

Students studying Business and Events Management are not required to purchase a uniform however Reaseheath College branded items are available from the college shop.

You will also be required to purchase stationery and reference textbooks.

A laptop or notebook would be beneficial, but not essential.

Is work experience part of my course?

All students will undertake work experience, how much will depend on which course you are studying. Please check course pages for details.

Will I be doing stock duties?

The only time Business and Events Management students are required to attend outside college hours is at our Family Festival in May.
