Annette McDonald
Head of Skills, Innovation and Enterprise Solutions
Under the direction of the Director of Business Development and Marketing, Annette takes operational responsibility for the organisation and management of the Hub. This includes the co-ordination of interventions to businesses across the college.She also takes strategic responsibility for, and leads skills and workforce development.
Susanne Price
Customer Relationship Manager
With a career in banking and accountancy spanning more than 20 years, Susanne has been well placed to assist rural businesses gain access to different funding opportunities, enabling them to grow and diversify.She works closely with the NWDA, Business Link and an extensive network of contacts to ensure clients are provided with the necessary support and advice. Such input has enabled businesses to invest in new capital projects, undertake training, and most importantly create new job opportunities.
Lucy Shenton
Agriculture Specialist
A graduate of Harper Adams, Lucy has spent a number of years working on soil research in the agricultural, quarrying and forestry industries. This was followed by qualifications development through work with standards setting bodies and sector skills councils. She then focused on private sector technology transfer in partnership with a number of UK universities.Lucy specialises in knowledge and technology transfer throughout land-based industries.
Althea Stewart
Sustainability Specialist
Althea is passionate about helping businesses find technical and funding solutions to improve their energy and resource efficiency. She has extensive knowledge of renewable energy, micro-generation and anaerobic digestion and is keen to see businesses adopt and benefit from low carbon technologies. For many years she worked in ICI Engineering as a systems engineer. Much of her time was spent in knowledge transfer activities promoting the benefits of World Class Manufacturing principles and how they can add value to a business.
Jane Casson
Enrich Advisor
Jane is an Enrich advisor with specific expertise in the food and drink sector. Jane also runs Made in Cheshire, a membership organisation which assists artisan producers. She sits on the board of the Restaurant Association of Chester and Cheshire and is involved with many tourism activities such as taste trails, food festivals and farmers markets.
Derek Allen
Food Specialist
Derek joined Express Dairies as a graduate trainee in their Research and Development Department after studying Food Technology at South Bank Polytechnic. He then went on to work for Northern Foods, still in product development but with a focus on own label products for the retailers. Meeting their cost and development time targets was challenging but provided vital experience for his current role in the Enterprise Delivery Hub where his role is to provide technical food intervention to businesses.
Tim Goldsbrough
RDPE Livestock
Tim Goldsbrough is working on the delivery of the RDPE Livestock Northwest project across Cheshire and Merseyside. This four year project is a business support package available to farmers across the North West which aims to improve farm competitiveness, animal health and welfare and the efficient use of farm resources.
