About the College

Reaseheath College is recognised as one of the UK’s premier land based and technical colleges in the country and has an excellent reputation for the quality of its Further and Higher Education and Apprenticeships. We are in our centenary year, which represents a significant milestone in our land-based history. Our influence and reach is local, regional and national and we play an active part in the ambitious development of the rural and national economy through our close work with the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).

The College has a beautiful setting amongst 280 hectares of farm, parklands, lake, woodland and sport facilities. Our delivery sites also comprise of specialist equine outreach centres at Oldham and Knowsley and a dedicated Apprenticeships facility for Engineering provision. We have invested £80 million over the last 10 years to create world class vocational and educational facilities. We have thriving and highly responsive partnerships with many leading employers and boast academic achievement that places us in the top quartile of Colleges.

Serving in excess of 7000 students, the College has grown significantly in recent years and has further ambitious plans for growth and development to serve the local and national communities. Turnover in 2021/22 was £36M and the College consistently delivers an operating surplus and enjoys good financial health.

Higher Education students number in excess of 550 and we enjoy a close working relationship with the University of Chester. A policy of access and progression for all students is vigorously pursued.
