We are currently offering a Level 3 Certificate in Landscape Construction – fully funded if you are aged 19 or over with no Level 3’s or equivalent (A Level/Advanced Technical Certificate) qualifications.

Dragonfly and Damselfly Ecology and ID

If you would like to learn more about dragonflies and damselflies, this is the course for you!

Whether you are a novice ecologist, or if you just simply want to learn more about these fascinating creatures, join us for this one-day course to learn about some of the fastest and oldest insects on earth.

There are no entry requirements to join this one-day course, costing £95. Future dates TBC.

Introduction to British Habitats

Do you want to know more about our British habitats? Do you wonder what they are and how they all work? If so, join us for a day of informal study to have all your questions answered!

On the course, you will be introduced to the main UK habitats such as grasslands, wetlands and woodlands, as well as a selection of rarer UK habitats. You will also get to delve into the importance of protecting and enhancing habitats, for the benefit of people and wildlife.

On completion of the course, you will be given a certificate of competence from Reaseheath College.

Parts of the course will take place outdoors, so sturdy boots and all-weather gear are required. Please also bring lunch and a drink with you.

This one-day course is open to everyone aged 16 and over, it will run 10am until 3pm, future dates TBC.

Wildlife Handling and Licences 

Do you work in a role which requires you to have an in-depth knowledge of the current licences needed to deal with wildlife in the UK?

If so, our Wildlife Handling and Licences course is for you! On the course, you will be able to explore the application of this knowledge, including best practice and the humane dispatch of animals in distress.

You will be taught by a number of professionals in this field from Reaseheath College through a blend of theoretical and practical demonstration.

This one-day course, will run 10am until 3pm, future dates TBC.

Introduction to UK Wildflowers

Ever wondered what that beautiful flowering plant is as you are out for a walk in the countryside?

This one-day course, which is open to everyone aged 16 and over, will give you an insight into our stunning British wildflowers.

Using botanical keys, you will discover how the parts of a flowering plant can identify species in habitats such as hedgerow verges, grasslands, heathlands and woodlands.

On completion of the course, you will be given a certificate of competence from Reaseheath College.

An Introduction to Rewilding 

Would you like to know more about rewilding so that you can transform your outside space?

This course will cover the rewilding agenda and give you practical ideas to assist you with your own rewilding project. You’ll also learn more about the ideas of George Monbiot and others regarding the drive to rewild the nation.

There are no entry requirements to join this two-hour course which will run from 5pm until 7pm. Future dates TBC.

Identifying Wildflowers in their Habitats

If you would like to study the beauty and fragility of plants in their habitats, this one-day course is for you!

Join us for this exciting course where you will be identifying flowering plants in their own habitat, improving your identification skills using wildflower keys and increasing your understanding of how plants are suited to their habitats.

This course is open to everyone aged 16 and over. It is particularly well suited to those who completed our ‘Introduction to British Wildflowers’ course, or those with some basic knowledge of using plant identification keys.

On completion, you will be given a certificate of competence from Reaseheath College.
