From applying for transport, accommodation or student finance, to finding out what equipment you will need for your course, it’s all here! We have also included your reading lists and some small tasks to do before you start, so you’ll be well prepared when you arrive.

Applications and interviews
We are still accepting applications onto courses starting this September. If you would like to apply please do so using our online application form.
All interviews for courses will now take place over the phone with a member of the team from your chosen subject area. Advice and information on all aspects of your course will be provided – please be aware this call may appear as a withheld number.
If you have any queries at all regarding your application or interview, we have put together a list of FAQs which might be able to help you. If you still require help please contact our Customer and Applications team on email@example.com.
We will be contacting you over the summer with information on what you need to do to enrol this year. Please remember if you change any of your personal details, let us know as soon as possible so you don’t miss out on any vital information.

Message from our Principal
Firstly thank you for showing interest in becoming a student at Reaseheath College this September.
Many of you will have been to open events on campus before the lock down and some of you will have attended virtual events since. I can assure you that all the staff who would normally be available to give you excellent support and answer all questions are still available and carrying out that role daily. There is also a wealth of information on this website.
It has been a challenging period recently but I have been impressed with all our staff and students in the way they have responded. Learning has continued and there have been high levels of engagement and positive feedback. That is one of the hallmarks of Reaseheath, the excellent staff that we have and the desire to give our students the best possible learning experience and the highest levels of support.
In addition to that we have our beautiful campus which is just such a lovely environment within which to study, not to mention the £80 million investment in superb specialist facilities over the last ten years.
However, what is absolutely key is that all our expertise, support and facilities lead to meaningful outcomes. That is why our mission statement is Industry Focused, Career Ready. We believe passionately in ensuring our courses have a clear line of sight to the jobs and careers which are there in the sectors we support. These remain exciting times in our sectors with ever more innovation, technology and new types of jobs appearing all the time. At Reaseheath we know the importance of ensuring students have the transferable skills and employability skills that keep our graduates current and able to adapt as their chosen industries adapt and this is exactly what employers require.
We are proud of the success of our alumni and students graduating from FE and HE and apprenticeships all have a high track record of positive outcomes and onward destinations. Employers hold the college in high regard and know they can rely on our students to be an asset to their businesses.
This coming year will be no different, students will still receive high levels of learning and support. We will ensure work is carried out safely and whatever blend of activity we are able to carry out will still prepare students for success and development. We are hopeful this will be as near normal as possible and will increasingly improve. We recognise access to practical facilities and campus life is important. Students will also be able to retake Maths and English GCSE as they do now and students make good progress with these areas at Reaseheath.
So in the meantime, please make use of all the information and staff available to assist you as you prepare to join the college in September.

Messages to students
Our college bus service transports over 1,400 students every day from far and wide.
Reasons to travel with Reaseheath College:
- Our extensive routes reach right across the county and surrounding regions
- We pick up from a number of train stations, including Crewe Railway Station
- We have a high quality fleet of coaches which are all fitted with seat belts
- All of our drivers are DBS checked and all students arriving on campus are met and supervised by staff each day
- 21 out of 23 of our bus routes pick up at 7am or later

We have on-site residential accommodation for up to 1,000 students, fully supported by a safeguarding team.

You may be eligible for means tested financial support to help towards the cost of being a student. You can apply for help with accommodation, travel costs, essential clothing and equipment and food whilst you are at college. The Learning Skills Centre (LSC) can provide additional learning support for students with a range of academic support needs. For further information or any general enquires about learning support at Reaseheath, please email LSC@reaseheath.ac.uk.

Maths and English
Please don’t worry if you haven’t achieved a Grade 4 in GCSE maths and English this year. You will be able to study them again with us at Reaseheath College alongside your chosen course.
We want to improve your employment prospects and we take your education very seriously, so we will do all we can to develop your language, literacy and numeracy skills. We will help you gain your GCSE or Functional Skills qualifications by teaching you in a fun environment and tailoring the lessons to you.
