The Crewe Alexandra FC Community Football and Education Course

The Crewe Alexandra FC Community Football and Education course, in conjunction with Reaseheath College, is for boys aged 16 to 18 years old who would like to study a full time sports qualification, including a BTEC Level 3 in Sport, whilst representing Crewe Alexandra Football Club and playing and training in football every day.

The course is based at the Crewe Alexandra Soccer Centre, where students are involved in studying a sport qualification that allows them to work towards a possible career in sport or go on to university. The course balances studying with a football programme of training and games every day, representing Crewe Alexandra in the National Youth Alliance U19 and the English Colleges Football Association (ECFA) league.

Alongside the education and football, there is also opportunities to gain the Football Association (FA) Level 1 in Coaching Football Award, which is the first step on a football coaching career, and then to become a Crewe Alexandra FC Community Coach or becoming a qualified referee by completing a referee qualification to work within the Crewe Alexandra FC Community Department Mini Soccer Leagues.

The football aspect of the course is managed by the Crewe Alexandra Community Manager Ray Walker (UEFA A,) and Steve Jones (UEFA A, ex-current Crewe Alexandra & Northern Ireland Forward) which includes developing and improving all players both on technical aspects and tactical awareness through the structured training and fixture programme.
