Vehicle Parts

This apprenticeship is designed in collaboration with employers to provide industry focused training to prepare you for a career in the areas of Parts, Sales and Marketing.

You will study in blocks at Reaseheath, with training including selecting and issuing parts, receiving and ordering parts, processing orders and customer service.

You’ll also have the chance to go on field trips and complete online study modules.

Level 3 Apprenticeship

What will I study?

  • Ordering non stock parts
  • Stock control
  • Stock taking
  • Solving customer service problems
  • Making customer service improvements
  • Maximising product sales
  • Functional Skills in ICT depending on previous qualification
  • Functional Skills or GCSE in English and Maths depending on previous qualifications

How long will it take?

  • Up to 21 months (8-10 weeks block release for the first 12 months, the following 9 months are completed in the workplace)

What qualifications do I need to start?

  • Preferably 3 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and Maths, or
  • Level 2 Apprenticeship in Vehicle Parts

What qualifications will I gain?

  • Job roles and responsibilities
  • Developing good working relationships

  • Selecting and issuing parts
  • Receiving and storing parts
  • Processing payment
  • Entering and finding data using information technology
  • Communicating information electronically
  • Employee rights and responsibilities (delivered at Reaseheath College)
  • Functional Skills in ICT depending on previous qualifications
  • Functional Skills or GCSE in English and Maths depending on previous qualifications

How long will it take?

  • 15 months (8-10 weeks block release)

What qualifications do I need to start?

  • Preferably 3 GCSEs at grade 2 or above including English and Maths

Useful information

How much will this course cost?

Apprenticeships are funded through government and employer contributions. If you are:

  • 16-18 working for a small business (<50) your training will be fully funded*
  • 19+ or working for a Medium size business (50+) an employer contribution may be required
  • Working for a large business or organisation (Payroll of £3m+) you training funded from your employers Digital Apprenticeship Service  Account

*small businesses who employ an apprentice between 16-18 may be eligible to receive a financial government incentive

 Transport

Our college buses pick up over 1,400 students each day from a wide area. From September 2018 all college bus routes to Reaseheath will be FREE. To find a bus route near you visit the transport pages on our website.
