We offer breakfast, lunch and evening meals along with snacks throughout the day. The Catering Team can accommodate a variety of diets and food allergies so if you have specific needs please speak to a member of the team and they will be pleased to assist.

Catering is offered across a range of outlets and each outlet is designed to offer a different experience. Please see individual opening times below, these opening times are for Monday-Friday, term time only.

Our evening meals are also served in the Main Dining Room and offer a choice of two main courses, vegetarian option, jacket potatoes, salad bar and dessert.

The Deli Bar, situated within the main dining room offers sandwiches made to order as well as jacket potatoes with a variety of fillings.

Bootzone, 10am – 4pm

Bootzone is open for snacks and light lunches and you are able to visit wearing overalls and boots without changing. As a grab and go lunch option Bootzone serves homemade pies and sausage rolls as well as hot meat baps and ready made sandwiches.

Catering Van, 10am – 1.30pm

The Catering Van is situated at the Farm (near Agriculture) and offers hot snacks and drinks.

Vending

There are various vending machines across the site offering a variety of snacks and hot drinks.

All students in catered accommodation will have the choice of a 5 or 7 day meal package.

A 5 day meal package is from Sunday dinner through to Friday lunch. As part of our safeguarding provision we endeavour to ensure that our students are eating healthily and regularly. We therefore encourage our students to eat a set 3 meals a day, all of which will be healthy and balanced.

Student ID cards will be set up with meal vouchers to purchase three balanced meals. This will mean 3 separate meal vouchers will be set up in order for you to purchase breakfast (up to the value of £2.40), lunch (up to the value of £3.60) and evening meal (up to the value of £3.60). This equates to meals to the total value of £9.60, for which you will pay £8 per day only. The use of these meal vouchers therefore is better value for money than purchasing food with cash or card in our outlets.

The 7 day meal package includes three meals per day Monday – Friday with the opportunity for two meals each day during the weekend. Each day comprising of three specific meals i.e. breakfast (to the value of £2.40), lunch (to the value of £3.60) and evening meal (to the value of £3.60). This is with exception of Saturday and Sunday which comprise of brunch and evening meal.

The meal vouchers supplied can only be used for the relevant meal and unfortunately cannot be saved to use another time.

If you wish to purchase items such as soft drinks, crisps and chocolate you would need to cover the cost yourself.

As a guide costs are:

  • Breakfast (2 rashers bacon, 2 sausages, hash brown, tomatoes, beans, fried egg and toast) -£4.70
  • A main meal deal includes a main course item with self service potatoes and vegetables – £3.60
  • A pasta meal deal of a main pasta + a sauce +1 side dish – £2.50
  • Salad bar boxes: large – £2, small – £1.20
  • Freshly made sandwiches and wraps from the Deli Bar – £1.50 – £2.50
  • Homemade pies from Bootzone – £2

Reaseheath uses the Way2Pay system where students and parents/guardians can load money onto student cards which can be used instead of cash or debit cards. The advantage of this system is that parents/guardians can see what purchases have been made at which outlets via the Way2Pay app.

Students who sign up to the five or seven day meal packages will have money on their student cards. Additional top-ups can be added for bottled drinks and snacks.

Students in receipt of free college meals have their allocation added to their cards.
