Business workshops and attendees
Reaseheath College is working in a consortium of North West education providers delivering 1-2-1 and workshop based support to local businesses and entrepreneurs across various industry sectors. With a £2.7m investment of European Regional Development Funding (ERDF), the Business Growth Programme utilises specialist expertise and facilities available from Higher and Further Education partners and Local Authority Growth teams in Cheshire & Warrington.
The team’s ambition is to leave a positive legacy within the Cheshire business community by providing purposeful and decisive advice to beneficiaries. Through the support they are providing they have become a well-known team who are highly respected by their stakeholders and businesses alike.
The Business Growth Programme team at Reaseheath College have developed bespoke training workshops to meet the needs of the local entrepreneurs they are supporting aiming to deliver a positive impact resulting in job creation, improved efficiencies, increase in profits and business growth.
To date the Reaseheath team has provided over 1000 hours of workshop and bespoke one-on-one training sessions to Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) on a range of key business growth topics. Since December 2016 the programme beneficiaries have attended workshops on Digital Marketing, Financial Planning, Product Development, E-Commerce, Entrepreneurship, Sales and HR. All support has been delivered by top industry consultants and training experts with relevant skills and experience.
Suzanne Miller, from Cheshire Glamping business – Pitch & Canvas, said, “The support I have had from the team at Reaseheath has been fantastic. They were very supportive of my idea and initial plan, offering advice and support on aspects of marketing, trademarking, and company structure. It was vital to be able to chat through our initial ideas with professionals who not only are experts in business development, but understand the pressures currently facing the farming industry. I attended the financial planning, marketing and e-commerce masterclasses and without them, I would have had no idea how to turn what was little more than an idea into a proper business.”
The programme has created a supportive network of local SME’s which has resulted in many businesses working collaboratively and fostering new partnerships. The Reaseheath Business Growth team are planning a business networking event in spring 2018 to celebrate the growth of the SMEs they are supporting.
Reaseheath College will be supporting local SMEs through the Business Growth Programme until December 2018. To contact the Reaseheath Business Growth team click here.
