Wellbeing
Student Health and Wellbeing Service
The Student Health and Wellbeing Service is available to all students who require support for a range of issues whilst at college. Issues can range from homesickness, mental health issues, relationships, bullying, difficulties with coursework, depression, anxiety, sexuality, financial difficulties, bereavement, health issues or family problems. We are committed to supporting you to enable you to reach your full potential. Whatever issues you are facing, we are here to help. Students access the service for a wide variety of reasons at different stages of experiencing difficulties.
Your course tutor is always willing to listen if you have an issue whilst at Reaseheath but we understand that sometimes it can be easier talking to someone outside of your curriculum area.
You can contact The Health & Wellbeing Centre in the following ways:
- E-mail – WellbeingTeam@Reaseheath.ac.uk
- Via Microsoft Team and Microsoft Chat
- Telephone – 01270 613197
You can also access a variety of support groups and services through the Health & Wellbeing Centre which include:
- On Site College Nurse (2 x drop-in clinics a week)
- Sexual Health Advice (including Condom Distribution Scheme & STI Testing)
- LGBTQ+ Support & Discussion Group
- A Typicals (a social & support group for Autistic & Neurodiverse students)
- WellSesh (support group for students experiencing Anxiety or Stress)
If you have any specific issues you would like to discuss in confidence prior to starting college, you can contact the Health & Wellbeing team or the College Chaplain by email at WellbeingTeam@reaseheath.ac.uk.
The outstanding ways in which our Health and Wellbeing team successfully supports the mental health and wellbeing of students and staff have been recognised by the Association of Colleges (AoC). The team of experienced professionals were a runner-up in the Mental Health and Wellbeing category of this year’s national AoC Beacon Awards, which showcase best practice and innovation among colleges nationwide.
