Presentation of Awards

At the end of the academic year, there is always lots going on to celebrate student success, including our annual Presentation of Awards. Reaseheath College loves to celebrate students’ achievements and this year was no exception. The fantastic two-day awards ceremony celebrated over 1,200 Further Education students who have achieved so much this year.

This event is always a great opportunity to congratulate Reaseheath students with their friends, teachers and family members there to celebrate with them. The ceremonies were also attended by three special guests – CEO of Chester Zoo, the High Sheriff of Cheshire and our own beloved, recently retired, Farm Secretary, who all helped to present the awards and gave motivational talks.

Over 100 course awards were given to students for going above and beyond in their subject area, ranging from Equine, Floristry, Agriculture, Business and Events, Food Technology, Sport, Construction and much more. Check out our Reaseheath College course page for the full list of subjects we offer.

Prestigious college awards were also given to those who not only excel in their course, but also right across the college, including our very own blog writers, Lisa Trodden and Sophie Tanner. They were awarded the student who has made the Best Contribution to College Life and the Special Recognition for Contribution to Student Wellbeing awards – well done both! (By the way, check out Lisa’s blog on avoiding homesickness if you haven’t already.)

Other college awards were given to students for Making the Best All Round Contribution, for Personal Qualities and for Contributing the Most to Sporting Activities.

If you are joining us soon – it could be you getting an award next year!

Well done to everyone for working so hard this year – we hope you continue celebrating your successes throughout the summer. We look forward to seeing everyone back in September!

  • A Guide to Reaseheath Accommodation

One of my top tips about choosing your halls of residence at Reaseheath would be to come to open days and see as much of the different halls as possible and find the one which most suits you! Make sure that you research them before you apply, and most importantly apply early as it’s a first come first served basis and they do fill up fast and you might not end up in the halls of residence which you really want!

  • Pride Festival

On Monday 13th May 2019, myself, Chelsey (Vice-President RAG) and a big team of students and staff volunteers, kicked off our charity RAG week for Diabetes UK with Reaseheath College’s first ever PRIDE Festival.
