You will have a Course Tutor who will guide you through your course and is always willing to listen if you have a problem. However, we understand that sometimes it can be easier talking to someone outside of your curriculum area.
All full time Further Education learners take part in the cross college tutorial and pastoral care programme that consists of weekly sessions, guest lectures, events and promotions focusing on a range of personal, social and cultural topics.
BeEmployable has been set up to support students in developing employability skills. All students will undertake a minimum 100 hour work placement (enhanced work placement hours differ in each curriculum area – please check with your curriculum staff). The careers coordinators can help you look for vacancies, write your CV, prepare for interviews and apply for further studies.
BeAware consists of taught sessions focusing on how to keep students safe and to raise awareness for a range of situations in life.
BeWell is our online self-help resource covering a range of health and wellbeing topics. Taught sessions include building resilience and mental health awareness.
BeEco will help to raise your awareness of environmental issues.
BeInvolved – raising awareness of student association campaigns with a key focus on positive behaviours and outcomes. Students are provided with guidance on topics in the wider world e.g. politics, mentoring, finance and volunteering using British Values as the bedrock.
BeActive – promoting healthy lifestyle and physical activity for all to improve and maintain good mental health and wellbeing.
