What are T Levels?
T Levels are a new qualification for 16–18 year-olds, introduced by the Government to give you more options to gain those essential workplace skills and experience. These exciting programmes are the equivalent of A Levels but with the addition of a substantial work placement and are key to the Government’s ambitious programme to provide the technical expertise for the jobs of the future. They offer a mix of classroom learning and ‘on-the-job’ experience which includes a substantial industry placement of at least 315 hours.
Why should I study a T Level?
These new qualifications, which take two years to complete, have been designed with industry experts to provide you with the skills employers are looking for. They will enable you to thrive in the workplace while giving businesses the workforce they need to succeed.
Am I suited to studying a T Level?
T Levels offer a technical route into your chosen industry and would be a good option if you’re looking for an alternative to a purely academic A Level route. If you don’t have the entry requirements for a T Level, you could study a Level 2 T-Up transition programme.
A 45-day Industry Placement
Each T Level includes an in-depth industry placement that lasts at least 45 days. Students get valuable experience in the workplace; employers get early sight of the new talent in their industry.
