We have a range of practical, theoretical and online training courses taught by our highly qualified and experienced team of instructors and lecturers, all of whom undertake regular CPD (continuing professional development) to develop their knowledge about the modern equine sector.

BHS Practical Stage 1 Stable Management Mock Assessment
This training will look at all aspects of the stage one practical stable management side of the exam to help get you ready to take on the BHS stage one exam or BHS progressive tests or for those wishing to improve their skills and knowledge of horse care.
We will be offering the option for clients to do their BHS progressive assessments 1-6 during the eight-week course.

Introduction to Competition/Turnout Techniques
Whether you’re an aspiring or seasoned competitor, learn basic competition turnout techniques before the competition season commences.

Look at key aspects of the stage two practical stable management syllabus and be guided by our experienced instructors to prepare for your examination.

Managing the Modern Equestrian Business (online)
Our Managing the Modern Equestrian Business online course is the first of many that has been introduced to the centre this year. Each of the 5 sessions last for around one hour.

BHS Stage 2 Teacher Training
Look at key aspects of the Stage Two Teacher Training syllabus to prepare for your examination. Our experienced instructors will guide you through exam technique to set you up for success.

Following BHS Stage 2 Practical Stable Management training, undertake a mock assessment to further prepare for your real assessment and gain feedback on performance.

Grassland Management for Horse Owners – Distance Learning (online)
Join us for our online Grassland Management course. The course will look at caring for a turned out horse and maintaining a paddock all year round.

Principles of Equine Nutrition (online)
The course will look all aspects of equine nutrition and is perfect for those new to nutrition or those looking to broaden their knowledge. The course consists of five one-hour sessions that are live to allow any questions to be asked.

Equine Health and Basic First Aid (online)
This course will cover all aspects of administering basic first aid to the equine as well as covering signs of both good and bad health of the equine. This course will consist of three weeks of online interactive sessions that will help broaden your equine knowledge.
