All our clinics and training are taught by our amazing Equine Team of instructors and lecturers. All of whom have a wide range of experience and specialist areas from many years of work. All our staff undergo regular CPD (continuing professional development) to develop their knowledge about the equine world.

Introduction to Clipping 

Dates:

  • 8th January 2022

Time: 10am – 4pm

Overview: This course is aimed at those wanting to improve their clipping skills as well as their theory knowledge around clipping. This course will cover the process of clipping a horse as well as the science and theory behind why we do it within the industry.

Equine Health and Basic First Aid (online)

Dates:

  • 3rd, 10th,17th January 2022

Time: 6pm – 7pm

Overview: This course will cover all aspects of administering basic first aid to the equine as well as covering signs of both good and bad health of the equine. This course will consist of three weeks of online interactive sessions that will help broaden your equine knowledge.

BHS Practical Stage 1 Stable Management Training

Dates:

  • 11th, 18th, 25th Jan 2022
  • 1st, 8th, 15th, Feb 2022
  • 2nd, 8th March 2022

Time: 6pm – 7pm

Overview: This training will look at all aspects of the stage one practical stable management side of the exam to help get you ready to take on the BHS stage one exam or BHS progressive tests or for those wishing to improve their skills and knowledge of horse care.

We will be offering the option for clients to do their BHS progressive assessments 1-6 during the eight-week course.

Introduction to Equine First Aid

Dates:

  • 15th January 2022

Time: 10am – 12pm

Overview: This course will cover all aspects of administering basic first aid to the equine as well as the theory elements of what should be in every equine first aid kit. This course will also cover some of the most common equine illnesses and how they should be treated effectively.

Advanced Equine First Aid

Dates:

  • 15th January 2022

Time: 10pm – 3pm

Overview: Our advanced equine first aid course is designed for those looking to expand their knowledge beyond basic first aid. The course will investigate the following topics: 

  • Identifying lameness. 
  • First aid kit 
  • Assessing a wound 
  • Bandaging, dressing wounds 
  • When to call the vet and what to do in an emergency 
  • Contagious and infectious diseases. 
  • Biosecurity procedures. 

BHS Stage 2 Training Online

Dates:

  • 25th Jan 2022
  • 1st,8th,15th, Feb 2022
  • 1st,8th,15th, 22nd,29th Mar 2022

Time: 6pm – 7pm

Overview: Join us for our online BHS stage two theory training course. The course will look at all the theory aspects of the BHS Stage 2 theory exam of which the syllabus can be found on the BHS website.

Principles of Equine Nutrition (online)

Dates:

  • 7 – 21 March 2022

Time: 6pm – 7pm

Overview: The course will look all aspects of equine nutrition and is perfect for those new to nutrition or those looking to broaden their knowledge. The course consists of five one-hour sessions that are live to allow any questions to be asked.

Time: 6pm – 9pm

Overview: Booked your Stage 2 Care and want a practice run? You’ll be coached through the assessment format and given feedback and help on the areas you need to improve on before your assessment day.

BHS Stage 2 Teach Training

Dates:

  • 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th May 2022
  • 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th June 2022

Time: 6pm – 8pm

Overview: Our BHS stage 2 teach training will look at all aspects of the stage two teach side of the exam to help get you ready to take on the BHS stage TwoTeach exam. You will show competencies to be able to work with novice riders both on the lunge and lead rein, showing an understanding of how basic skills are established. 

BHS Stage 2 Teach Training Mock Assessment

Time: 6pm – 9pm
