Schedule: Thursdays, 5.30pm – 8.30pm

Course Overview

Digital Functional Skills helps adults develop essential digital knowledge to live, learn and work more confidently in a digital world. This Entry Level 3 course is perfect for beginners and is taught in small, supportive groups using real-life tasks and simple tools.

What You’ll Learn

You’ll build confidence using devices, apps and the internet through practical tasks like:

  • Using a keyboard, mouse and touch screen
  • Connecting to Wi-Fi and managing device settings
  • Finding and evaluating information online
  • Creating simple digital documents (like emails or forms)
  • Staying safe and secure online

How You’ll Learn

  • Weekly face-to-face sessions on campus
  • Step-by-step tasks guided by your tutor
  • Hands-on experience using desktops
  • Help with individual needs or barriers to learning
  • Access to digital support tools outside of class

Assessment and Exams

You’ll complete a practical task-based assessment at the end of the course, covering core skills and everyday digital tasks.
You’ll be working towards the Pearson Edexcel Digital Functional Skills Entry Level 3 qualification.

Entry Requirements

This course is suitable for beginners or those with little prior experience using digital devices.
We’ll send a short assessment to make sure the course is right for your starting point.
