Apprenticeships in
Equine
As an apprentice, this is your chance to work and earn a wage while building your knowledge and skills. You will receive one day of training a week at Reaseheath College, and the rest will be delivered in the workplace with the support of an industry expert assessor.
A particularly diverse industry, you could find yourself working in a role such as a Groom, Stud Assistant or Riding Instructor.
What will I study?
- Horse welfare
- Horse care and husbandry
- Transporting horses
- Health and Safety
- Functional Skills or GCSE in English and Maths depending on previous qualifications

- Riding
- Non-riding
How long will it take?
- 18 to 24 months depending on previous experience (1 day per week in college)
What qualifications do I need to start?
- GCSEs at grade 3 or above including English and Maths
What qualifications will I gain?
- Level 2 Apprenticeship in Equine Groom
- Functional Skills or GCSE in English and Maths depending on previous qualifications
