Reaseheath College and University Centre has been recognised with the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award in recognition of its commitment to supporting members of the armed forces community.
The Silver Award is presented to organisations that demonstrate outstanding support for serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military families, while actively promoting the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant.
The award reflects a range of activity across the college in support of the armed forces community. This includes Reaseheath’s partnership with Building Heroes, which provides construction training opportunities for veterans and service leavers as they transition into civilian careers. The programme helps participants develop valuable skills and access employment opportunities within the construction industry.
Reaseheath also employs former service personnel, members of military families and serving reservists, further demonstrating the college’s commitment to supporting the armed forces community within its own workforce.
Colleagues have also worked alongside military organisations through employer engagement initiatives, including supporting activities at the 103rd Regiment Royal Artillery’s Altcar Training Camp. The college regularly attends recruitment and careers events that help connect serving personnel, veterans and military families with training, education and employment opportunities.
Together, these initiatives demonstrate the college’s commitment to supporting members of the armed forces community through skills development, career progression and employer engagement, helping to secure national recognition through the Silver Award.

The Employer Recognition Scheme, administered by the Ministry of Defence, recognises organisations that go above and beyond in their support for the armed forces community and encourages others to follow their example.
