Party Room Access

We allow party organisers to arrive at the zoo 30 minutes before the start of your party, so you can set up the room and decorate as you wish, and get settled in before your guests arrive. Please note: we are unable to accommodate any electrical items in the party room but can arrange access to Bluetooth speakers/radio on request.

External Bookings

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate external provisions for your party, such as a face painter or entertainer.

Zoo It Yourself Parties:

For Zoo It Yourself parties, you’ll have access to our party room in the middle of the zoo from 10am to 12pm, which you can use as a base, for games and to provide any snacks, lunch or cake that you would like to bring with you. We provide zoo spotter sheets for you and your guests to take around the zoo.

Zoo Explorer Parties:

For Zoo Explorer parties you’ll see and work with the animals for the first hour and a half of your time, then you can spend the final hour having snacks and cake, enjoying the zoo, playing party games in the room, or anything else you have planned before the end of the session.

Please suggest to your party guests that they wear clothing appropriate for the weather on the day, long trousers, and footwear that can be easily cleaned like wellies. Please no flip-flops or sandals as we may need to wash shoes after being in animal enclosures.

We also request that you fill out a copy of our health and safety form (found below), to bring with you on the day. You do not need to hand out copies to your guests, we just need one responsible adult to sign for the group.

Keeper for a Day Parties:

For Keeper for a Day Parties you’ll see and work with the animals for a couple of hours from 10am, and then break for the lunch/snacks/cake etc. that you have brought with you, before the chance to work with more of our zoo animals before the session ends at 2.30pm.
