The aim of the course is to provide delegates with the correct level knowledge to operate a petrol driven cut off saw safely.
The course will consist of a maximum of 6 delegates unless pre-agreement is gained from NOCN. The basic course will be delivered over a half day period and the additional modules will extend the total duration to a whole day. The training is a blend of theoretical and practical hands-on study. The theoretical elements are supplemented by the course video.
Delegates knowledge is assessed at the beginning of the course through an initial assessment paper and is formally tested at the end of the basic course through a practical observation and a multiple choice examination paper. The course is pass/fail. A qualification is gained by passing this course that appears on the back of your CSCS card.
