Public Services Extended Diploma
Nikola Stando has turned hard work and determination into a career with Surrey Police after completing her Public Services Extended Diploma with an outstanding D*DD.
The Course
Studying Public Services gave Nikola the opportunity to explore different areas of the sector and understand the range of careers available.
“I really enjoyed learning about the different public services and getting a better understanding of the different career paths available. It helped me figure out what I wanted to do in the future and find a path that I really enjoy.”
Her time at Reaseheath also involved significant academic progression. Nikola began on the Level 3 Diploma before working hard to achieve her English GCSE and complete the additional units required to progress onto the Extended Diploma.
The Achievement
Nikola is particularly proud of finishing with D*DD and securing a job with Surrey Police.
“I worked really hard throughout the course, so I’m really happy that all the hard work paid off.”
Her result reflects not only her academic achievement but the determination she showed throughout her progression at college.
What’s Next
Nikola is now beginning her career with Surrey Police and is looking forward to gaining real-world experience, developing her skills and discovering where the career can take her.
She already has a clear long-term ambition: joining the mounted police.
“I’d love to progress within Surrey Police and hopefully one day join the mounted police. Working with horses and being a police officer is something I’d really love to do.”
