Apprenticeship Awards Ceremony 2026
We are delighted to announce our annual Apprentice of the Year awards will take place on Wednesday 11th February 2026 during National Apprenticeship Week. This will be a formal celebration which will be held on campus at Reaseheath College and all finalists will be invited to join and share their achievements.
Our apprenticeship awards are designed to recognise and reward the achievements of exceptional apprentices, apprenticeship champions and apprenticeship employers.
Apprenticeships help shape successful lives and build successful businesses across a large and diverse range of sectors. The awards give both individuals and businesses the chance to showcase the very best practice in their industry.
Apprentice Award Categories
Food & Drink Apprentice of the Year
The apprenticeship programmes eligible under this award: Butchery, Bakery, Food & Drink Process Operator, Food Technologist, Dairy Technologist.
Land and Environment Apprentice of the Year
The apprenticeship programmes eligible under this award: General Farm Worker, Horticulture, Crop Technician, Veterinary Nurse, Equine Groom.
Land-based Service Engineering Apprentice of the year
The apprenticeship programmes eligible under this award: Agriculture Engineering Technician, Construction Plant or Trade Supplier.
Transport Engineering Apprentice of the year
The apprenticeship programmes eligible under this award: Bus & Coach Engineering Technician or Rail Engineering Technician.
Construction Apprentice of the Year
The apprenticeship programmes eligible under this award: Bricklaying, Carpentry and Joinery, Plastering.
Business & Professional Services Apprentice for the year
The apprenticeship programmes eligible under this award: Team Leader/Supervisor and Learning & Skills Teacher apprenticeship.
Functional Skills Apprentice of the Year
The Functional Skills Award celebrates apprentices who have successfully achieved their Functional Skills qualifications in Maths and/or English, demonstrating dedication and progress in these essential areas.
Eligibility
These awards recognise apprentices who have made a real difference to their workplace and chose an apprenticeship to boost their career.
To be eligible for entry the apprentice must have completed their apprenticeship between 1st October 2024 and 30th September 2025.
The above categories will be nominated by Employers, Curriculum Staff and Skills Coaches.

Mentor of the Year
We welcome direct nominations from our employer partners for one of the above categories. These awards recognise employers and mentors who have put apprenticeships at the heart of the business, worked in true partnership with their apprentice and the college, and have demonstrated their commitment to apprenticeship provision.
Other Award Categories
Principal’s Award
The winner of this award will be chosen by the College Principal.
The Principal’s award is one of the most important ways in which Reaseheath College recognises apprentices who have made outstanding contributions to the workplace whilst demonstrating significant personal growth.
