Are you interested in the science behind food, and want to study an industry recognised qualification that will open doors to a huge range of career opportunities?
By studying a Food Science course at Reaseheath College, you’ll be part of an exciting industry which is dynamic, fast paced and constantly changing to meet consumer demands.
You’ll study global challenges such as sustainable food production and how to increase nutrition while controlling waste, plus you’ll put classroom theory into practice during sessions in our dairy processing halls and dedicated butchery, bakery and new product development areas.
A career in the food industry will give you a job for life, because at the end of the day we all need to eat! Careers range from employment in the dairy industry, engineering and health and safety sectors to new product development, packaging and food production. You might want to specialise in research, marketing or PR, human resources and logistics or the retail side of the industry, which is all possible with our food courses.

- The first educational institution in the world to be awarded the globally recognised British Retail Consortium Grade AA certification for food safety, so we command huge respect within the industry.
- Home to a range of state-of-the-art facilities, including dairy processing halls and dedicated butchery, bakery and new product development areas.
- Where you’ll study food science and microbiology (the science behind brewing cider is a favourite topic!), learn about product manufacture, food safety and new product development and gain skills in butchery, bakery and cheese making.
