Love was definitely in the air at Reaseheath on Valentine’s Day thanks to Entry and Foundation students on our Career Development Pathway and Bespoke Programme.

Tasked with organising an enterprise project, the student team came up with the brilliant idea of selling designer chocolates (made in our patisserie department) and single red roses supplied through our floristry department. They also operated a very busy ‘Cupid Express’ delivery service for secret admirers across campus.

As well as having loads of fun, the 19 students developed and practised employability skills such as communication, event planning and customer service, and made good use of their maths and English.

The event raised money for our RAG charity, Visyon, which supports the emotional health of children, young people and their families in Cheshire and Staffordshire,
