Skills Development
No business can survive without skills. For many businesses current and future skills needs are a priority. Our experts will talk through your needs both for additional new staff to be brought into the business, and for the development of skills for your existing workforce. There are a number of Government initiatives which help businesses develop these skills. The Apprenticeship Programme and Train to Gain are only two examples. There are a whole raft of initiatives designed to support businesses across the whole spectrum of needs from recruitment through to retention. Since skills needs are often to be found at all levels within an organisation, it is important that we look with you at the total needs of your business. The range on offer includes Skills for Life (essential literacy and numeracy skills for all businesses) through to degree level programmes in bite size chunks. We are also able to work with you to tailor a programme to meet the specific needs of your business. Funding is available throughout the North West under RDPE and again the Hub is ideally placed to help you identify your needs and access funding to support delivery. As we have contracts with a number of Government Agencies we are also able to bring individuals into your business. In some situations subsidies are available to help you recruit someone into your business. We can also help you access funding support for short courses which are designed to provide specific skills training for businesses engaged in land based activities. .
