Whether it’s processing your own dairy or meat, launching a new food product, or developing a direct-to-consumer offer, this Skills Bootcamp equips participants with the skills and confidence to take their next step.
Topics include:
- Food safety, traceability and compliance
- Dairy and meat processing techniques
- Butchery and value-added production
- Business planning, budgeting, and product development.
Participants will gain practical experience in Reaseheath’s state-of-the-art food processing facilities, working with expert tutors who understand the realities of modern farming. The course is delivered in a blended format to fit around work, family and business commitments.
“This Skills Bootcamp is designed for farmers and rural enterprises who are thinking ahead — those who want to explore new ideas, making the most of their resources, and strengthen their business for the future,” said Iain Clarke, Assistant Principal – Land-based and Sustainability.
“Whether you’re thinking about adding value to your produce, expanding your offer, or launching a new product, we’ll give you the tools and guidance to move forward with confidence.”
The Bootcamp also provides strong links to industry and potential customers, helping participants ensure their ideas are commercially viable and meet evolving market expectations.
