Alexa – Functional Skills Maths

“I am very happy to have passed both my Level 1 and Level 2 Maths Functional Skills qualifications at Reaseheath College.

“In my initial assessment, I scored 6/56 and was so disappointed with myself afterwards that I cried! I then went on to achieve 46/56 within four weeks which is phenomenal and shows that it’s never impossible to learn, no matter how old you are or what your past experiences are.

“I enjoyed my lessons at Reaseheath because the tutors were extremely patient and organised; I couldn’t have done it without their help. I had a tough time at school, and my confidence with numbers was at its lowest, but thanks to the teachers at Reaseheath College I am now much more confident, and I have massively boosted my overall personal self-esteem, too.

“These qualifications will help me to achieve my dream of studying Veterinary Nursing at University Centre Reaseheath, which is really exciting.”
