Reaseheath College is celebrating a record-breaking year for its Level 3 vocational, technical, and T Level students, with an impressive eight per cent increase in high grades and overall pass rates hitting a new high of 96%.
This year, 73% of Level 3 vocational and technical students at the Nantwich-based college achieved top grades, marking a significant increase on last year’s performance. The overall pass rate also saw a boost, rising 5% year-on-year to 96%.
T Level students have also performed exceptionally well, with pass rates well above the national average. Learners on the Design, Surveying and Planning T Level were particularly outstanding, with over 90% achieving high grades. Construction learners also scored above the national rate, with these results providing a significant boost for the region’s future workforce in two national skills priority sectors. There were also exceptional results for students completing their first year of T Levels in Animal Management and Science and Animal Management and Behaviour and with students achieving a fantastic 100% and 98% pass rate respectively.
Principal Marcus Clinton praised the exceptional achievements, saying: “We are incredibly proud of this year’s record-breaking results. The increase in high grades is a testament to our students’ exceptional hard work and the unwavering support of our dedicated teaching staff. These outcomes highlight the power of high-quality technical education and our strong industry partnerships in preparing students for successful futures.
As students look to their next steps, Marcus added: “I am delighted to see so many of our students progressing, whether it’s returning to Reaseheath or joining our Higher Education faculty, University Centre Reaseheath. To those moving on to employment, apprenticeships, or higher study elsewhere, we wish you every success. We are confident that your time here has equipped you with the skills and knowledge for a rewarding and successful career in your chosen field.”
For students receiving their GCSE results next week, it’s not too late to apply for a September start at Reaseheath College. The college offers a wide breadth of courses across its land-based specialisms, including animal care, equine, and veterinary nursing, as well as programmes in sport, health and public services, food and rural business, and advanced fields such as engineering, technology and construction. These programmes are an excellent choice for ambitious students who may have done even better than expected and are now looking for a career-focused alternative to A Levels. New for 2025 will be T Levels in Marketing, and Ornamental Horticulture and Landscaping. As a further incentive, applicants for the Ornamental Horticulture course are eligible for the T Level incentive scheme.
