An update from Public Services student, Jess Littleton

Kicking back into Reaseheath life has been amazing! It felt great to be back at Reaseheath and this time as a Public Services student with the hope to becoming a police officer. I have been able to try things I have never done before and go to places I have never heard of for example; rock climbing at Windgather Rocks and hiking round Delamere Forest. We also did two weeks at the start of November where the normal timetable was dropped, and we did a new timetable that included; high ropes, a chance to do more fitness activities, budgeting skills and had a fundraising day where my group did a sponsored bike ride on static bikes and raised money for Visyon (which was our chosen RAG charity last year)!

The student life here at Reaseheath has be ace! From the socials, to the clubs and societies available to all students on campus. My favourite socials for me were definitely; Disney, Halloween Ball, Pyjama party and Winter Ball. Clubs and societies, I have thoroughly enjoyed including; Acapella, RAG, Evening Entertainments and the Reaseheath Campaigns and Projects. I also got to dress as Stitch at the Disney Social which was a bonus! We were also able to go and take part in the Nantwich Remembrance Parade where we joined the parade around the streets of Nantwich and laid a wreath at the memorial.

The Winter Ball was my favourite social so far. Everyone was dressed up and looked ace! The bar and canteen looked stunning from the Student Association’s hard work in decorations and making the bar fit in with the Narnia theme. It was so amazing to spend time with my friends, who I don’t normally see in the evenings due to them being non-residential students. There was cracking drinks, music and an awesome atmosphere. I couldn’t have asked for a better night!

Hope to catch you up soon!
