Equine
Step into Equine is a fully funded 8-week programme giving eligible young people the opportunity to experience horse riding and stable management at Reaseheath Equestrian Centre.
The programme is designed to help young people get active, build confidence, develop new skills and discover more about the world of horses and potential careers within the equine industry.
No previous riding experience is required.
What’s included?
Over eight weeks, participants will take part in weekly equine sessions, including:
- Horse riding and developing basic riding skills
- Grooming and horse care
- Horse handling
- Introduction to stable management
- Physical activity and confidence-building activities
- Learning about the equine industry and potential career opportunities
- Riding hats and essential protective equipment will be provided at no cost.

Cost
FREE – fully funded
There is no cost to eligible participants for the 8-week programme.
Following completion, participants will have the opportunity to continue riding at Reaseheath Equestrian Centre at a highly discounted rate.
Who is it for?
Step into Equine is aimed at young people who may face financial barriers to accessing equestrian activities.
Participants must meet the programme’s eligibility criteria, which includes being in receipt of free school meals, a bursary or relevant benefits.
Places are limited and eligibility will be checked before participation is confirmed.
