Reaseheath College is thrilled to announce a fantastic new addition to this year’s Family Festival – The Calm Corner, designed to provide a calm and inclusive space for those who may need a break from the busy event atmosphere.

With the generous support of Nantwich-based accessibility consultants Direct Access, this area will offer sensory tools, seating, and a peaceful environment for all attendees, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the festival comfortably.

The Calm Corner will feature a gazebo, charging stations, fidget toys, sensory borrow bags, and more — creating the perfect space for anyone needing a break from the festival excitement.

“We’re thrilled to be working with Direct Access on this initiative to make the festival even more inclusive and accessible for everyone,” said Stephanie Owen, Family Festival organiser. “This is just the beginning of our ongoing collaboration, as we look forward to exploring ways to improve accessibility at future events and across the campus.”

The Calm Corner will be fully equipped with beanbags, sensory tools, and sunflower lanyards for those who need them, and will be staffed by volunteers to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for everyone.

After last year’s cancellation due to weather, the staff at the Nantwich-based college are excited to welcome families, friends, students, and the local community back to its beautiful countryside campus for a day filled with exciting activities, thrilling performances, and lots of laughter.

From daring BMX stunts and the popular Pedal Power vs Parkour competition to hands-on workshops like tree climbing, flower arranging, and bricklaying—which showcase the breadth of courses at Reaseheath—there’s something for everyone to enjoy, whatever their age.

Whether it’s trying your hand at a new skill, watching jaw-dropping displays, or simply soaking up the fun atmosphere, it’s a day you won’t want to miss.

Tickets are still available, but they’re selling fast! Be sure to grab yours at www.reaseheath.ac.uk/familyfestival and don’t miss out on a fantastic day of entertainment, learning, and fun for the whole family.

Canine companions are welcome, with plenty of drinking stations and cooling points around campus to ensure your four-legged friend stays comfortable while you enjoy the festivities.

Catch crowd favourites like the Magical Musical Bike, plus the all-new Away to Me puppet show featuring Rex the mischievous sheepdog and his two eight-foot Yarndale sheep. There will also be energetic performances from talented local dance groups and choirs, along with plenty of opportunities to get involved with activities across the campus.

Mark your calendars, grab your tickets, and get ready for a day full of fun and learning at Reaseheath. The Family Festival runs from 10am to 5pm, and family tickets, priced £30, are available now at www.reaseheath.ac.uk/familyfestival
