FAQ’s
Are dogs allowed?
Yes well behaved dogs are very welcome! There may be some restrictions in certain areas for example inside the Food Centre and the Reaseheath Zoo.
You will find water bowls for dogs dotted across the campus.
Can you bring alcoholic drinks?
No alcohol consumption is allowed on site.
Can you buy tickets on the day?
No. Pre-paid tickets only. You can purchase your ticket here.
Is cash payment accepted on the day?
We are a cashless college so only accept debit card and contactless payments. There is no cash machine on site.
Some of the stallholders will be accepting cash.
Can you walk to the event?
Whilst ample parking is available, pedestrian access is also welcomed. Pedestrian access to the college is off A51 Chester Road (opposite our Equestrian Centre).
If you prefer to cycle, there is a secure bike shed on campus.
You MUST NOT access the college on foot by walking along Worleston Road – the road is fast and dangerous with areas of poor visibility.
I have bought a ticket through the online shop, do I need to bring this with me?
Yes – please either print off your tickets or be prepared to show them at the gate on your mobile device
Is food available or should I bring my own?
The Reaseheath restaurant is open and there are many catering outlets across the campus.
If you would rather bring your own picnic that is absolutely fine, why not sit near the Hall and enjoy your food beside our beautiful lake!
Is the event wheelchair accessible?
Due to the nature of the event and the size of the campus, ground can be uneven and activities may be a distance apart. Free hire of mobility equipment is available from DIAL West Cheshire, please see more information further down this webpage.
Is the Reaseheath Zoo open?
Yes the Reaseheath Zoo is open, admittance to the zoo is included in the event price.
Please note – dog are not allowed in the Zoo.
Is there parking and do you have to pay?
Free, ample parking is available and will be clearly signposted when you approach Reaseheath.
Will there be baby changing facilities?
Yes there are multiple toilets with baby changing facilities onsite. See the map on your programme for their locations.
Accessibility Information
Reaseheath College aims to provide an enjoyable experience for all visitors to our Family Festival. Please be aware that due to the nature of the event and the size of the campus, ground can be uneven and activities a distance apart. DIAL West Cheshire, a disability charity based in Chester will have a stand at our main car park and entrance offering free hire of mobility equipment, including mobility scooters and wheelchairs.
Please note that equipment cannot be pre-booked and will be made available on a first come, first served basis on the day.
If mobility equipment is required at either of the two walk in entrances, a member of staff will endeavour to bring the equipment to you, but please be aware there may be a short wait for this facility. Please allow a few minutes to complete a brief registration process before using the equipment available.
All customers will be given instruction in the safe use of equipment and must demonstrate their competence to use such equipment. DIAL West Cheshire reserve the right to decline the hire of equipment if there is any doubt about a customer’s ability to operate mobility equipment safely.
All mobility scooter users (including people with their own equipment) are advised to proceed at slow speed in view of the number of people expected at the event.
