You’ll be based at our fantastic purpose-built animal centre, home to our licensed teaching zoo and laboratories – facilities which are among the best in the UK. Here you will have the chance to work with around 200 species including meerkats, lemurs, otters, birds of prey, reptiles, fish, amphibians and a range of companion and park animals.
Your classroom lectures will come to life as you carry out practical sessions with the animals in our collection, and you’ll have the opportunity to visit some of the UK’s leading zoos and wildlife parks.
Whatever your interests, you’ll be encouraged to gain as many experiences as possible, so you’re ready to progress onto degree level study or onto a wide range of exciting and rewarding career opportunities.

At Reaseheath College, we have the very best animal management facilities and resources on campus in our purpose-built Animal Centre, including:
- Our on-site BIAZA accredited mini zoo with outdoor and indoor enclosures.
- Our zoo is home to over 1,000 species of animals including mammals, amphibians, reptiles, birds and fish.
- Our synoptic classroom has just been refurbished, offering you a modern and comfortable environment to study.
- Improvements are also currently being made in our mini zoo, and work on our brand-new aviary has just been completed.
