The next generation of land-based professionals was in the spotlight at the Reaseheath Apprenticeship Awards 2025, as the college celebrated the achievements of its outstanding apprentices and the employers shaping their success across the UK.
“I really enjoyed my time at Reaseheath College; I particularly liked the range of habitats we studied and the practical management skills we learned such as hedgelaying.
“In my current role as a Trainee at the Mersey Rivers Trust, I get to travel to different parts of the county, learning a range of different skills and seeing how our work can improve the biodiversity of rivers and streams.
“The experience I gained at Reaseheath, from exploring different habitats, developing my surveying skills such as pond dipping and kick surveys, as well as conducting research for my independent project into the water quality and aquatic invertebrates in my ponds, was all great preparation for my career.
“If you like nature and want to learn how to manage different habitats and what these habitats support, then studying land and wildlife management at Reaseheath is for you.”
