AIM Qualifications

If you love flowers and would enjoy creating floral designs for pleasure, these courses are for you. Whether you would like to learn a new skill, or add a creative touch to a special occasion, our courses will enable you to learn how to create beautiful designs. You do not need to have any prior experience for these options unless stated. The AIM qualification involves some theory work.

Tuesday 1st October 2024 –Tuesday 10th December 2024

Tuesday 14th January 2025 – Tuesday 25th March 2025

10 weeks

Starting at 18:00 finishing at 21:00.

The AIM programme focuses on creating and experimenting with a diverse range of floristry designs including hand tied bouquets, floral arrangements and wedding work. Generally, two practical pieces will be completed each week, with the first taken apart to complete the second. A small element of written work is completed during class time to support understanding of the principles of practical designs. During your first week you will be given a practical schedule outlining designs to be completed on the programme. Previous students have gone on to professional qualifications and to work freelance within the industry.

Flower materials (and some sundry items) will be provided by the college, prices indicated per class. Students are also required to have their own floristry scissors and knives which can be purchased from our online store.

Book early to avoid disappointment, please visit the online store. Please note, should you need to leave your chosen programme all tuition fees are non-refundable except in exceptional circumstances. Flowers used will also need to be paid in full.

At Reaseheath College we are committed to providing leisure programmes which are cost effective with each course needing to recruit a minimum number of students. On occasion, this does not occur and unfortunately, we may need to cancel a programme. Please be assured that this is a situation which we will do our utmost to avoid.
