Duke of Edinburgh Award

We are now offering the Gold Duke of Edinburgh award across college to all students. So if you are between the ages of 16-25 you can sign up to DofE here at Reaseheath.

Gold DofE is a great opportunity for students to develop their skills and is a fantastic way to boost your CV. The award is recognised by universities and employers worldwide so whatever you are looking to do after completing your college course, completing the Gold DofE could make a real difference.

In order to gain the Gold award you will need to complete five different sections which are volunteering, physical, skills, residential and expedition and it should take no longer than 18 months to complete the award. Advice and opportunities will be given to complete the different sections by the leaders at college.

Participants select their own programme so think about what you enjoy doing, what you want to do in the future and you could soon be on your way to completing your Gold award. The programme is all about self-development, not competition, and is about showing commitment as well as developing key skills such as teamwork and social skills.
